How We're Helping
The Building Blocks of NJ, also known as The BBNJ, is a community service charitable organization. Our volunteers, donors, supporters, and partners have been working together to empower individuals and families in the community to overcome food insecurities. We strive to meet and exceed our community's needs by making all our meals Halal and economically friendly.
Our current on going projects include:
- Monthly produce distribution; Free Fresh produce in Jersey City
- Free food grocery distribution to registered clients
- Daily hot meal distribution
- Zakat distribution

Help a Muslim Break Their Fast This Ramadan
Ramadan is a month of mercy, compassion, and caring for those who are often forgotten.
“And they give food, in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.” (Qur’an 76:8)
Our Goal of $6,000 will allow us to distribute dates to 900 fasting inmates throughout the entire month of Ramadan.
With your generosity, a simple date becomes a moment of dignity, hope, and ensures they are able to break their fast in accordance with the Sunnah.
